Sandy Hill Dental Centre, located at 222 Daly Street in Ottawa, has been serving the Sandy Hill community for over 30 years. Our team of dental hygienists and dental assistants can work with our dentist, Dr. Catherine Major, to guide you through each appointment.

Our Dentists

Dr. Catherine Major, DDS

General Dentist

Dr. Catherine Major completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Western Ontario.

After practising in Stratford, Ontario, Dr. Major moved to Ottawa, her husband’s childhood home.

Dr. Major has volunteered in Zimbabwe, Laos and Sri Lanka where she needed both compassion and patience to guide many patients through their first dental experience.

Her highest priority is building a relationship of mutual respect and trust with her patients through open communication.

Dr. Major tries to listen to the concerns of her patients and explains and discusses the available options so that patients can choose the one that best addresses their needs and budget.

Dr. Major’s goal is to provide the highest level of professional care while making her patients feel comfortable with her friendly and relaxed approach.

The Sandy Hill Dental Centre team, along with Dr. Catherine Major, will do what we can to try and make your visit an enjoyable experience.
Dr. Yusuf Ahmed, DDS

General Dentist

Dr. Ahmed is a highly qualified professional who obtained his Honours B.Sc. in biochemistry from the University of Ottawa and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto. With extensive experience in all areas of dentistry, he is particularly passionate about oral surgery.

Dr. Ahmed provides compassionate care to his patients and is committed to staying up to date with the latest developments in the field of dentistry. Beyond his professional endeavors, he enjoys spending time with his friends and family, playing pool, and reading.
